When setting up your Jira integration, you will have the option to enable a two-way integration. In order to do this, you only need to have the Instabug plug-in installed on your Jira project, which is currently available for Jira cloud.

Once the plug-in is set-up, you can enable two-way integrations, and with that enabled, any status changes on the Jira side should be reflected on the Instabug side as well.
