The filters are prominently located below the performance metrics section in the Instabug interface, as seen in the highlighted section of the image.
Here’s an overview of the filtering options you can use:
App Version: Filter issues by specific versions of your application to identify version-specific problems.
Date: Focus on issues that occurred within a particular time frame, such as the last 7 days or a custom range.
Device: Narrow down issues based on the device type or model, helping to identify device-specific problems.
OS: Specify issues occurring on certain operating systems, useful for pinpointing compatibility problems.
User Attributes: Filter by the user-defined attributes to identify issues for specific users.
Type: Select the type of issue, such as crashes, non-fatal, or ANR errors.
Status: Choose whether the issue is new, in progress, or closed.
Assignee: Filter issues based on the team member assigned to them.
Tags: Use custom tags to organize issues by categories or priorities.
Team: Narrow down issues related to specific teams or collaborators.
Feature Flags: Focus on issues related to specific features or experiments you have set.
App Status: Filter based on whether the crash happened in the foreground or background.
Saving Filters for Future Use
A standout feature of Instabug is the ability to save frequently used filters. This eliminates the need to repeatedly apply the same criteria every time you access the dashboard. Here’s how to save and manage your filters:
Applying Filters:
Use the dropdowns and input fields to set your desired criteria.
For example, you might filter by “App Version: 1.1” and “Type: Crash.”
Saving Filters:
Once your filters are applied, click the Save button located on the right of the filter bar.
Give your filter a descriptive name, such as “Version 1.1 Crashes.”
Accessing Saved Filters:
Saved filters are accessible via the Saved Filters dropdown.
Select any saved filter to instantly apply it to your view.
Managing Saved Filters:
You can delete saved filters as per your needs.
Just hover on the "Saved Filters" and press on the trash icon on its right.
